I have been designing and creating one of a kind handmade clothing since 1996, formerly partnering with my sister in Sarmite Wearable Art. I identify my work as a slow fashion because every garment is a unique, custom tailored, and timeless creation with intention to slow down consumerism and respect the environment. Every garment is custom tailored to specific customer needs and size, which ensures more conscious purchasing decisions. My customers will keep an article of clothing longer, since they feel emotionally and culturally connected to that - one of a kind, handmade garment.
